Thanks to everyone who took part in last week’s Easter Tango Festival! Many people were involved behind the scenes to make the weekend happen and of course it could not have been a success without the students who took part in the workshops and the dancers and friends who attended the events.

Emile and Nazan certainly won the students over with their entertaining approach to teaching and of course their clear mastery of Milonga and Nuevo. Additionally, their generous number of performances were simply stunning, with each dance receiving an extended ovation.

Australia, and especially Adelaide is often overlooked when it comes to international talent but the festival was a great injection of knowledge and inspiration that will help to strengthen the Adelaide tango community.

Both the Coriole evening and the End of Course Baile were highly successful events, the latter running into the early hours of the Monday morning. Thanks to the students from the 6:30pm and 8:00pm classes who performed for the End of Course Baile – some were nervous, but all did a great job!!

There will be photos from workshops and events posted soon, so stay tuned.

Also, a special thank-you to Emile and Nazan who, on short notice, headed halfway around the world to make this event happen. Such a beautiful tango couple and amazing dancers and teachers!
