Next year, from March 11-18, the Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino (CITA) or Cosmotango as it is more generally known, will again be held in Buenos Aires.

If you are interested in receiving more information throughout the year and potentially details about a group booking, email me to register your interest. Siempre Tango isn’t promising to organise an Adelaide-specific group, but can at least put you in touch with the other Australian group organiser, through which you will receive a discount, and earlier registration opportunities than if you enrol singly.

The Cosmotango website is not a great one, but you can find more information on the teachers involved (such as Chicho, Eugenia, Sebastian & Mariana, Julio & Corina, Adrian & Alejandra) & they sell the videos that we used to show a lot at the Banque.

The earlybird fees for the classes in 2006 were:

  • Package A – 20 ninety minute classes, 2 theater shows, and 6 milongas: $US475.
  • Package B – 15 ninety minute classes, 2 theater shows, and 6 milongas: $US400.
  • A la carte registration (only available in person in Buenos Aires right before the festival) $US25 per class, $US50 per theater show, and $US15 per milonga.

Yes, it is expensive, but it is also a very convenient way to have exposure to a wide range of world class teachers/performers in a pre-arranged situation.
