A few people have been having slight panic attacks over the impending cessation of classes and the summer break that seems to stretch ahead forever, a road of sizzling melting bitumen which must be endured with no dancing! Heaven forbid – we wouldn’t let that happen! Come along to the following places for tango dancing over the break..well, it might not cool you down but it will be fun!

  • Thursday January 11, practica at the North Adelaide Community Centre, 8:00pm until 10:00pm.
  • Tuesday January 17 the second and final La Estrella milonga on the Riverside promenade, 7-10pm (free!)....ahhh, and people doubted that the space would work! Hheeeheee! Don’t forget to bring seats, drinks, sunscreen etc to all the Summer Assault milongas.
  • Friday January 19 at The Establishment, 273 Rundle St 9pm.
  • Thursday January 25, practica at the North Adelaide Community Centre, 8:00pm until 10:00pm. Your chance to catch up with enrolment gal Anna L and treasurer Tiz T to put your name down for classes and pay your fees in order to receive the free milonga passes.
  • Saturday January 27, La Rotunda milonga in Elder Park, 7-10pm (free!).
  • Sunday January 28, Southern Cross Tango’s Tango by the Sea with a guest classical accordian player Mirko Satto.
  • Friday February 2, Colonel Light Hotel balcony milonga from 9pm with guest DJ Roger S!

And then, what do you know! It’s the week beginning Sunday February 4/Monday February 5 and classes are back on again…and you thought there weren’t opportunities to dance this summer!
