October 20 at Coriole Winery in the McLaren Vale will be a great fun night. Tickets are all sold, but, as does happen, with people now having to confirm their ticket purchases, some are finding in their eagerness to attend that they double booked themselves. If you want to have your name on the list, let me know so I can inform you if tickets become available.
20-something will see Rachel McCall and Tamara Shinners reprise their cabaret show ’20-something’ for one night only. It has now had 4 sell out shows at La Boheme in town. The evening will continue with a milonga and supper afterward.
Here is what Alexander Perry had to say:
For two nights only last week, music graduates Rachel McCall and Tamara Shinners revived their cabaret show 20 Something, which delves into the lives of every university student who finds themselves dazed and confused in the Centrelink queue despite the fact they have three degrees. From the moment the duo began strutting in front of the glittering golden backdrop to the sounds of Eye of the Tiger, to the hilarious farewell adapted from The Sound of Music, McCall and Shinners delivered a feast of cabaret greats based on their travels, poverty and lost loves. The show was proof that Adelaide artists have much to offer, they just have to create their own chance to showcase their talents.
