Did you know Carlos Di Sarli (1903-1960) was known as Mr Tango (EL Señor del Tango)?
He worked in Osvaldo Fresedo (1897-1984)’s orchestra before forming his own orchestra in which he played the piano and conducted. Di Sarli dedicated the tango Milonguera Viejo to Fresedo. The tango Bahia Blanca is named for Di Sarli’s home town.
