Many people in the tango community would know Mark Lloyd and Libby Raupach through their support of the Adelaide tango scene. Their winery, Coriole, has been the scene of some of the best tango events in Adelaide.

Siempre Tango would like to congratulate them BOTH on their recent Order of Australia Medals!

Both received their medals for things other than tango and we’ll probably have to wait a few years more before OAMs get handed out to services to the “tango industry”. Rather Mark and Libby received their medals for achievements in their professional pursuits and interests.

Mark received his for:

service to the tourism and hospitality industry as a contributor to the development of the McLaren Vale region as a premium wine and food tourism destination, as a wine maker, and to the arts

and Libby received hers for:

service to the visual and performing arts, particularly in the areas of education, administration and training
