Just a reminder to all those interested in attending the Easter Tango Festival workshops with Emile and Nazan, the format is as follows:
There are four pairs of workshops – each workshop is a 1.5 hour lesson giving a total of 3 hours for a pair of workshops on the same topic (and level).
The workshops are aimed at two different levels: The level 1 workshops are appropriate for our 6:30pm class and below, and the level 2 workshops are appropriate for the 8:00pm class and above.
The level 1 workshops are on Milonga and Vals. The Milonga workshops would be ideal for those who have recently participated in Carlo’s Elementary Milonga workshops, however, those who haven’t will still learn a lot from Emile and Nazan. The Vals workshops will be useful for understanding the different rythms of the Vals (or Tango Waltz) and how to adjust your timing to allow you to dance fluidly and beautifully.
The level 2 workshops are on Milonga and Tango Nuevo. Again, the students who have recently attended Carlo’s Advanced Milonga workshops will benefit from attending Emile’s workshops, but anyone with some confidence in dancing to the Milonga rythm will enjoy this series. Tango Nuevo is a more modern style, currently embraced by the younger generation of Argentinian dancers, in this style of tango the embrace is often lost to enable to dancers to perform elegant moves and decorations. Attending this workshop will certainly enrich your tango experience and knowledge.
Please refer to the Easter Tango Festival news item for workshop times and location.
