A few thankyouveryverymuch’s need to happen for Tangomania 2006…

Andrew Gibki saved us at the last minute on a number of occasions and we promise we’ll be more organised next time! Thankyou Andrew for your patience and late nights. We are SO proud of our new image!

Ben Thoman for that website and online booking form that made a life on holiday possible…and of course the Coriole music that had so many positive comments from the crowd.

Bob Youngson for helping out in 8 workshops, that fabulous, fun milonga performance, hosting Pedro and Sophia…and picking up on my mistakes…no, seriously!

Carlo Sansour as always involved, thankyou for helping to get Emile and Nazan back to Adelaide again, we are so, so very lucky to have had you here with us, and hope to see you again soon.

Claire MacKenzie just the hugs Claire, the hugs got me through! Thankyou for being our milonga gal, and our Baile MC, you rock!

Club de Tango Peter and Lisa wowed us in December 2005 and returned for Tangomania to do more of the same…and they did…thanks for your workshops and performances…but I’m disappointed Hungry like the Wolf didn’t get an outing…

Coriole Winery how lucky are we that tango in Adelaide has people as enthusiastic and generous as Mark Lloyd and Libby Raupach who continue to allow a rowdy bunch to take over their gorgeous winery for an evening of tango. Thankyou both for making such a magical evening possible.

Di Kidd our advertising guru and almost as pedantic about details as me and Bob…thanks Di for being as particular about professionalism as it is possible to get. We are lucky to have a master amongst us.

Gerda Menzel for hosting our special guests Emile and Nazan, and just for being such a sensationsal shoe-wearer in general…

Glamour Dance shoes from Cecilia and Gary Castle added some extra interest to the weekend.

Inspiracion Tango from Stuttgart. Emile and Nazan, you stole hearts while you were here, I hope you return them sometime soon. You brought beautiful tango and warm hearts to our festival, thankyou both.

Mark Stojani our Siempre President. You weren’t here, but believe me, we wish you were. Hope you’re having a wonderful time in Buenos Aires, we miss you, and thankyou for all your help leading up to the big event.

Pat Petronio I can’t do two halls at once and there’s no other person who could manage it better. Thakyou, for your time, hosting Pedro and Sophia, DJ’ing the Baile, and performing. Did you sleep?

Patio de Tango with us for the first time Pedro and Sophia Alvarez added something special to each of the milongas with their generous and warm presence. Not to mention the workshops and performances, thankyou both.

Southern Cross Tango many thanks to Adrienne and Andrew Gill, for their support of Tangomania 2006 generally, and their spectacular performance at the Tangomania Baile. Thankyou also to the Southern Cross students who helped made Tangomani a success.

Stephen Secomb your passion for photography thrills us all – thankyou so much for the time and energy you put in on top of an already demanding weekend. And did I mention your treasury role…?

And of course to everyone who attended the workshops and milongas and therefore made this possible, it was lovely to see so many people enjoying Argentine Tango – thankyou!

Last but not least…many thanks to Megan for coordinating the entire show, it was a real treat to learn from and be in the company of some amazing dancers.

I’ll second that! Meg, you did a wonderful and successful job of what would have been a logistical nightmare for many.

I’d also like to thank my local service station for keeping me going with dodgy food and drinks when Kellie and I were too tired, sore or busy (possibly all of the above) to prepare anything for our busy days!
