Milonga Para los Niños has been and gone for 2006 – an enormous thankyou to all of the people who came along to make it a successful night – we will be able to donate $1336 to Sociedad Para los Ninos! Para los Niños provide funds to people working directly with underprivileged children and youths in Argentina.

Thankyou also to Gauchos’ Argentinian Restaurant who generously donated two $150 dinner vouchers, and to Sosta’s Argentinian Kitchen who gave a $100 dinner voucher! We are also grateful to Zapata’s Mexican Restaurant , The Place Next Door, Dancers World , Windmill Performing Arts and Skye Cellars for the prizes they donated. Special thanks also to Ian and Sandra Crowe who donated the weekend accommodation prize in Deep Creek Conservation Park, and to Gerda Menzel, who will be making a tango dress for one excited lady! There were some happy door, raffle and spot prize winners!

Thanks must also go to the following people from the Adelaide tango community who assisted with their time and energy in a variety of ways: Imogen Selley, Roger Spence, Janett Jackson, Junko Banks, Irene Tredrea, Ben Thoman, Andrew Gibki, Di Kidd, Claire MacKenzie, Stephen Secomb, Bob Youngson, Pat Petronio and Tiziana.

And of course to our wonderful performers, who gave their time and energy free of charge on a Friday night!

Thank you again for a great night – let’s make it even bigger in 2007!
