An enormous congratulations to Janett Jackson for her lovely performance last night at the Establishment, dancing with Ben Thoman to Carlo di Sarli’s Organito de la Tarde. It was great to see a new face on the performance floor and well done to Janett for battling the pre-performance nerves, looking relaxed during the piece and demonstrating some smooth moves! Encore performance Janett and Ben??

Thank you also to Ellie Rosenfeld and the Contemporary Dance Collective who presented two dynamic and energetic pieces for us, one to a familiar Gotan Project tune, and the other to a John Butler Trio piece. Ellie has a long history in contemporary dance and the trio worked together for a long period of time on the pieces of choreography – we are very grateful to them for presenting their work and art to us on a Friday night.

Thanks also to Andrew in his debut MC performance! And as mentioned, on August 18, we will be back at the Establishment, not at Higher Ground.
