Last night, several Siempre Tango students and teachers participated in the filming of a pilot episode for new television show. The show to be titled “One Night at the Ed” is intended to be part of a series with each episode recorded at a different pub around Adelaide. The theme being the characters and conversations that take place in our local watering holes.
First up, Mark and Imogen and Megan and Ben danced to Gotan Project’s “Una Musica Brutal”. The terrain was difficult as they were required to dance on a paved and seriously sloped beer garden patio. And Ben should keep the editors busy after he accidentally whacked Imogen in the leg (and he apologises profusely)!! However both couples recovered and completed the number.
Then Mark danced in a mock lesson with Johanna while Siempre students and some ring-ins from the bar provided the milonga style back-drop. Mark and Johanna moved through the dance floor before the scene cut to a film review/discussion between some mates with beers…..
The show is supposed to air late in the year, so keep your eyes peeled!
Thanks to Janett, Ana, Jurek, Kasia, Frank, Lucy and Claire for helping out and even trawling the bar for ring-ins!
