2007 was potentially the final Easter festival, for a number of reasons, including the championships in Sydney which made it difficult to involve domestic teachers from the Eastern seaboard, as well as to have other states involved in hosting visiting international guests. However, we hope you enjoyed this year. The finances for the festival will be up on the website shortly so that people can have a close look…. We thank those people who attended the workshops and events, as well as the Siempre Tango classes which allow us to underwrite the event.
Thanks go to:
Mark and Libby of Coriole Winery in the McLaren Vale for allowing us to use their beautiful setting yet again.
The many unpaid hours involved: Mark and Rachel for hosting Mario and Anabella; Ben for building the Tangomania website; Andrew for the graphic design of the flyers and posters; Claire for managing the milongas (as well as Anabel and Irene); Tiziana for dealing with all the finances; Mike for the video and photography; and Anna for the phone work.
Thanks also to Coopers who supplied the beer at Coriole, and to SNAP printing at Flinders St Adelaide who printed the flyers and posters.
But of course, particular thanks to Mario and Anabella for sharing their energy and expertise with us.

This weekend was fabulous! I can only speak for myself in saying that the opportunity to learn from Dancers as talented and lovely as Mario & Anabella are few and far between, unless of course you travel to BsAs every year!
Meg, one major oversight. A very big thank you to YOU! Your creativity in devising such unique events as Summer Assault and Tangomania and your commitment to bringing a little BsAs to Adelaide needs to be applauded. Without your drive the Adelaide Tango community would be a much less interesting place. Thank you so much!

I second Tiz’s motion – thanks to Meg for pulling together another festival and teacher visit, even more so under the rather difficult circumstances of interstate hosts withdrawing.
Thanks also to Mark and Libby for hosting us all at Coriole – truly one of the most special tango events in Adelaide.
Thanks to the students and dancers who supported the workshops and events.
And of course to MyA! I’ve really enjoyed learning from you and just hanging out!

I third that motion! People often underestimate just how much time, energy and dedication it takes to organise such events, and I commend Meg and all of the the ST committee for putting on yet another great weekend of tango treats. Thank you.

Excellent news to hear that all went well and I hope that you all enjoyed yourselves. Sorry that we couldn´t be more involved but I hope that we can hear all about it when we get back and see some new moves! We are in Rio de Janeiro and loving it at Ipanema Beach at the moment but are now counting the days `til we leave (only two left to go) and arrive back in Adelaide. We´ll see you all very shortly.
