At the Historian over recent months we have been fortunate to enjoy some great door prizes, from cd’s to tickets for the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. More recently, the Media Resource Centre has become involved through the generosity of the Director Imogen Selley, one of Siempre Tango’s most accomplished dancers and performers. The MRC will be providing door prizes at the Historian for the rest of the year.

The Media Resource Centre manages the Mercury Cinema, Adelaide’s centre for Independent film. There will be double passes to the Mercury’s classic film program, Cinematheque, upcoming highlights from which include Parsifal, Un Chien Andalou, and a season of the work of Hollywood Screen Queen, Barbara Stanwyck. There will also be free tickets to Antistatic: A Season of Contemporary Dance for the Screen, and the much anticipated Message Sticks Festival, showcasing the work of Indigenous filmmakers, whose films have been winning awards in 2005 at festivals around the world. For more details see the websites: Http://www.mrc.org.au and http://www.mercurycinema.org.au, or ask Imogen for a program.

Many thanks from Siempre Tango to Imogen and the Media Resource Centre!
